Cleveland's Racial Reconciliation Ministry

The Gospel Is
The Answer
to Racial Conflict

Inspiring relationships, reconciliation, and collaborative action among the diverse body of Christ across Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

Cleveland's Racial Divides Run Deep

Cleveland's racial divides run deep, written into our neighborhoods, our history, and our zip codes. The east side and west side tell different stories. And too often, the church tells them separately too.

Jesus Prayed for Something Better

Jesus prayed that his people would be one. ThreadedCLE exists to answer that prayer in Cleveland, giving faith leaders the relationships, tools, and community to weave the church together across every divide.

How We Work

The RIPE Strategy

ThreadedCLE's work moves through four movements, from reorientation to action.

R
Reorient

Reorient people in the racial conversations of our day, personally, historically, socially, and Biblically, beginning with Cleveland's own story.

I
Identify

Identify with the cultures in your community and build equitable cross-cultural relationships and local coalitions through shared meals, walks, and honest conversation.

P
Plan

Plan with your new coalitions and other organizations in the city, developing cross-cultural, collaborative actions that address real needs in Cleveland.

E
Execute

Execute cross-cultural collaborative actions in the city, evaluating together for further steps. This is where relationships become transformation.

Threaded RIPE Roadmap
"That they may all be one — so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
— John 17:21
What Fuels Us

Threaded Values

These convictions shape everything ThreadedCLE does in Cleveland.

Kingdom Oriented

The eternal vision of heaven is a multi-ethnic church (Rev. 7:9–12). Jesus leads us to pray, seek, and serve for that kingdom reality on earth now as it will be in heaven.

Confessional Conversations

There is no resurrection without a cross. Moving forward together requires humility, a willingness to confess, and a readiness to share and listen to the stories Christ is redeeming.

Grace Extending

The grace of Jesus Christ has been lavished upon us, so we must extend it to others. There are no tokens at the table. Everyone is welcome and adds meaningfully to the journey.

Compassionate & Courageous

Compelled by the love of Jesus Christ, we speak truth lovingly and move into conflict and injustice for the sake of others knowing his reconciling power.

Rejoice Always

In a broken world of difficulties and divisions, the Spirit leads us to celebrate every place where the kingdom advances against the walls of racism, pressing on through defeat, rejoicing in every victory.
